Exploring the NT
This purpose for this course is to introduce the student to the literature of the New Testament by study of both the biblical texts and the historical and cultural factors that shaped the text. Areas discussed include historical background, contemporary scholarship, and the themes and general teachings of the New Testament books.

Hermeneutics
This course is a study of the principles of biblical interpretation, an introduction to major resources available for biblical interpretation, and an exegetical study of selected passages from the various types of biblical literature. The course focus is practical—the goal is that the student would develop sound methods of exegesis and application of biblical texts.

Introductory Greek
This course provides a basic introduction to the Greek language used in writing the Greek New Testament. The student is introduced to the basic morphology of Koine Greek in order to develop translation skills from Greek to English to facilitate exegesis of New Testament passages for ministry in teaching and preaching. The grammar is deductive in approach.

Intermediate Greek
This course is meant to: (1) review NT Greek grammar, (2) advance translation skills, (3) increase vocabulary, and (4) facilitate NT exegesis in minsitry. Selected New Testament passages are assigned for translation, and the student is engaged in systematic vocabulary acquisition of words occurring 15 or more times in the New Testament.
